The Forest Area

The forest area is somewhere to get used to the controls and explore. As you head east out of the town, you will quickly find yourself surrounded by tall trees, wolves and other tourists.

Hidden somewhere in the forest is an old derelict church. The management of Forestown don't want you to go inside, but it's probably worth a look. 
At the south-west corner of the forest there is a large pool with a waterfall flowing into it. Later on you will climb up the waterfall to explore further. There is also a tourist information centre somewhere at the southern side of the forest. This is quite useful later in the game if you get stuck.

The essential thing to do in the forest is to find the wolf that you were warned about when you started the game. It has a thorn in its paw, and is very angry. If you examine him closely, you will be able to find the thorn and pull it out. Don't expect him to be too grateful, but the fairies notice how nice you've been, and will now let you exit Forestown on the path that leads up from its northern end.
